Wine:

The 2021 Red Crozes-Hermitage Grand Classique showcases a vibrant ripeness with delicate smoky, bacon-like notes and subtle oak influence. On the palate, it’s taut and refined, with fresh, lively fruit and a smooth, crisp finish. Already highly approachable, with a touch of roasted nuance, this Syrah pairs beautifully with white meats or veal.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Total destemming, traditional fermentation in stainless steel and temperature-controlled concrete vats. Vatting for 15 to 20 days. Aged 70% in vats for 9 to 12 months and 30% in 400-liter oak barrels.

Color:

Intense, brilliant ruby red.

Nose:

Typical Syrah aromas, with subtle notes of ripe red fruit, a touch of smoke and a hint of licorice.

Palate:

Rich and full-bodied, it reveals a gourmet structure with a herbaceous, fruity profile, subtle, perfectly integrated woody nuances and an elegant, lively structure.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Artisanal charcuterie, grilled lamb chop, oven-baked guinea fowl.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028 and beyond for enthusiasts.
