Brugal - Rhum de République Dominicaine - Colección Visionaria

Brugal Colección Visionaria is the first in a series of three bottlings using an exclusive barrel roasting method with locally selected ingredients known for their organoleptic qualities. Aged in ex-bourbon and first-fill oloroso sherry oak barrels, then refined in virgin European oak barrels roasted with Dominican cocoa, this amber rum presents a dry and balanced profile. It features spicy and chocolatey aromas enhanced by notes of dried fruits and nuts, orange zest, vanilla, and dark chocolate.

Elaboration:

Made from 100% local molasses, column distilled, 36-hour fermentation, 100% tropical aging in first-fill ex-bourbon oak and oloroso sherry casks, then matured in European virgin oak casks roasted with Dominican Republic cocoa.

Founded in 1888 in the Dominican Republic and inspired by Cuban aging techniques, Brugal Rum is one of the leading specialists in Dominican rum. Since its inception, Andrés Brugal, the founder of the distillery, has infused Cuban expertise into his brand, but using sugarcane planted, grown, and harvested in the Dominican Republic.
