Wine:

Concentrated and powerful, the 2018 Red Côte Rôtie Brune et Blonde delivers remarkable depth and structure, positioning itself among the finest vintages of the decade, rivaling even the legendary 2015. From the first scent, smoky notes and syrupy raspberries signal a perfectly matured Syrah, balanced without excess. Full-bodied yet velvety, with a long, rich finish, the wine stretches out with elegance, capped by a hint of roasted coffee at the very end. A brilliant future awaits this exceptional vintage!

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged for a minimum of 36 months in oak barrels, 50% of which are new.

Color:

Intense, dark ruby red.

Nose:

A blend of the smoky scents of fully mature Syrah and syrupy raspberries.

Palate:

Slightly more concentrated and powerful than the 2016 and 2017 versions. Long and rich, it adds notes of roasted coffee brought by the ageing on the very delicate palate.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Rack of veal with chanterelle mushrooms, jugged hare, tournedos of duck breast with foie gras.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2032.
