Ktima Kissa represents the new wave of Hellenic winemaking! Located on the slopes of the "black mountain" of Mavrioros in the Peloponnese, at an altitude of 750 meters, this flint and rock vineyard enjoys an ideal position, protected from southern winds and cooled by cold currents from the sea.

Since 1949, the Kissas family has carefully tended these cool-climate vineyards, crafting wines that reflect their unique terroir. They exclusively use local grape varieties, such as the delightful Assyrtiko in their white wine.

Dimitrios Kissas, an oenologist and engineer who studied at the University of Davis in California, has poured his expertise and passion into creating these wines, capturing the strength and magic of this legendary region. This mythical enclave of the Pleiades is said to be the birthplace of the god Hermes, in a cave atop a nearby mountain, close to the Kissas family vineyards.
