Le Soula - IGP Côtes Catalanes - Rouge - 2021

Wine:

The 2021 Red IGP Côtes Catalanes retains a lot of freshness and a charming mouthfeel. It’s a supple, immediately approachable, and delightful wine, surrounded by fine tannins and beautiful fruit flavors. A very pleasing wine that is already open and full of charm.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Traditional vinification. Aged 22 months in foudre and demi-muids.

Certified organic and biodynamic wine.

Nose:

Beautiful aromas of black fruits, cherries and fine spices with well-integrated oak.

Palate:

The first impression is clean, with round, delicious black fruit. Spicy notes underline the delicate, well-coated tannins.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Red meats a la plancha, duck breast with honey and spices, pork chop, monkfish with chilli and Calabrian sausage.

From now until 2030

Launched by Gérard Gauby, the star winemaker of Roussillon, Domaine du Soula produces exceptional wines, certified biodynamic. Mark Walford, former British importer of Gauby's wines, has taken over the magnificent Fenouillèdes region to cultivate old vines on these high-altitude terroirs.
