Matsui The Hakuto Premium is a Japanese craft gin we discovered during our selections. It's worth noting that the first gins were crafted in Japan as early as 1936. Matsui offers very fine floral aromas and refined vegetal notes, intertwined with lingering hints of citrus, pear, and spicy touches. On the palate, it shows its breadth, being very refreshing and complex with fruity flavors of white fruits and green apple, punctuated by peppery notes and green tea. The finish extends with citrus accents and a hint of peppery notes.
Elaboration:
Gin made from a blend of 14 natural ingredients: juniper berry, coriander seed, orange zest, yuku zest, Japanese sansho pepper, gyokuro, sakura (cherry blossom), black pepper, nashi pear and 5 other medicinal plants, distilled and reduced with spring water from Mount Daisen.Color:

Located in Tottori Prefecture, in the south of Honshu Island, this micro-distillery has been perfecting the delicate arts of blending and refining for a century. Sake, shochu, and brandy have always been crafted in the purest Japanese tradition, thanks in part to the pure waters from nearby Mount Daisen. In recent years, Shuzo Matsui has also developed a select range of whiskies and gins under the Matsui name.
