A Scottish distillery founded in 1801 in Aberdeen, Speyside, Chivas is a world renowned brand. Around 1830, the brothers James and John Chivas had the idea of blending malt and grain whiskies, thus creating a perfectly balanced whisky with an original and unique taste.

On June 2, 1953, the day of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, he launched a unique whisky, "Royal Salute 21 Years". The name is a reference and a tribute to the "Royal Salute", the 21 cannon shots fired on that special day, which marked the beginning of the British monarch's reign.
