Wine:

The 2021 red Bierzo Ultreia Saint-Jacques is a remarkable feat, showcasing the unique qualities of Spanish wine. Featuring a nose of well-ripened Mencia with aromas of black fruits and smoky notes, it offers a fine, fresh, and velvety juice, brimming with pure fruit. The tannins are present yet refined, creating an extremely charming and harmonious ensemble. Rated 93/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. Fermented 100% in whole bunches in open oak vats for 2 to 5 months. Aged in 225-liter tuns and cement vats. No fining or filtration.

Color:

Intense red with purple highlights.

Nose:

Fine aromas of ripe, fresh black fruits accented by a touch of smoke/ash.

Palate:

With its juicy, velvety texture, this cuvée reveals fine, yet present, tannins, creating a harmonious, gourmet whole.
