Wine:

The 2020 red Languedoc L'équilibre is a harmonious blend, both fresh and ripe, where the dominant Syrah imparts a spicy and exotic character on the nose, with aromas of dark fruits. On the palate, the wine is rich and concentrated, with smooth tannins and a hint of iron-like minerality. It's a splendid vintage for 2020, impressive now and promising to age well over the next three years and beyond. Perfectly paired with flavorful meats like ribeye steak or leg of lamb. An absolute steal at this price. A favorite of the Committee, rated 93/100.

Vinification:

Hand-picked in crates. Traditional vinification. Aged 15 months in foudres and demi-muids.

Color:

Bright ruby red.

Nose:

A well-balanced, ripe wine dominated by Syrah, with aromas of black fruits and spices and a lovely freshness.

Palate:

A lovely dense, concentrated wine, with a smooth, full-bodied structure. This sun-drenched cuvée is beautifully balanced.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Prime rib, leg of lamb, duck and bell pepper skewer, pork filet mignon with sun-dried tomatoes.
