The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A benchmark for Alsatian excellence, Albert Mann is one of the region’s finest estates, producing biodynamic wines of remarkable precision and depth.

Jacky Barthelmé and his son Antoine—who now leads the estate—have a masterful touch with both whites and reds. The great terroirs of Alsace resonate with new energy here, giving rise to wines of singular identity and striking emotional power. Their clarity, finesse, and drinkability make them essential references for serious wine lovers.

The estate’s rise reached a milestone recently with Alsace’s first-ever 100-point Parker score—for its Pinot Noir. And the rest of the range more than holds its own.

With 3 stars in the French wine guide RVF, Albert Mann now stands among the very best.
Wine Born from old vines rooted in iron-rich soils of limestone and sandstone on Eguisheim’s Pfersigberg—though it keeps the name discreet—the 2023 Alsace Pinot Noir Grand P Red is a young, structured Pinot bursting with promise. Juicy and expressive, it opens with aromas of black cherry, morello, sweet spice, and stone fruit. The palate is built on a powerful, well-wrapped frame, lifted by balsamic tones and gentle spice, all bordered by seamlessly integrated tannins. Dense and fleshy, yet radiant in balance, this is a wine that clearly rewards patience. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested in small 20kg crates. Vinification in open vats. Natural fermentation. Aged for 17 months in barrels, 11% of which are new.
