Royal Salute 21 Year Old is a unique whisky, a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. In a nod to the 21 cannon shots fired at the coronation ceremony of British monarchs, this blend has been aged for 21 years; it is a selection of sumptuous whiskies chosen from the Strathisla distillery in the Scottish Highlands. It is an expressive and balanced whisky with notes of noble wood, red fruits and smoky touches. The palate is round and spicy with a touch of peat, very appreciated for its singular persistence. A very nice blend to be tasted on its own around 16° to appreciate all its aromas.

Elaboration:

Unpeated. A blend of sumptuous whiskies aged 21 years or more chosen from the Strathisla distillery, the oldest operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands.

Color:

Deep golden amber.

Nose:

Expressive and balanced with notes of noble wood and fine smoky touches.

Palate:

Round, opulent and spicy with a touch of peat. The finish is remarkably persistent.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Glencairn whisky glass.

A Scottish distillery founded in 1801 in Aberdeen, Speyside, Chivas is a world renowned brand. Around 1830, the brothers James and John Chivas had the idea of blending malt and grain whiskies, thus creating a perfectly balanced whisky with an original and unique taste.
