From a demanding single-vineyard plot on a small Kimmeridgian limestone hill, the 2022 White Sancerre Le Château stays true to the warm, generous character of the vintage. 60 ares of Bué’s limestone terroir were selected to craft this noble white, which stands out for its sharp structure and deep, expansive profile. It ranks among the great white wines of France. Rated 94/100 by RVF.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested in crates, fermented and aged for 10 to 12 months in demi-muids and stainless steel. Unfined, unfiltered wine.

100% organic and biodynamic estate, currently applying for certification.

Bright, light golden yellow.

Nose:

Lovely bouquet of floral notes and white fruit aromas.

Palate:

A wine with a fresh, silky texture, underpinned by fine tension and a powerful structure. A seductive wine!

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Fish in sauce or oven-roasted, seafood, prawns or langoustines sautéed with garlic and herbs, mature Chavignol goat's cheese.
