Wine:

From sandy and gravelly soils, vinified without oak, the 2021 Red Chinon reveals crisp, perfectly ripe fruit with dominant notes of graphite, and plenty of freshness and brilliance. This wine is pure and precise, beautifully expressing Cabernet Franc with a fresh and tangy finish, supported by a firm and well-balanced structure. Highly drinkable, it can be enjoyed over the next five years. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, sorted, macerated for 15 days, fermented and aged on fine lees for several months.

Color:

Very intense ruby-black red.

Nose:

Precise and pure around a dominant graphite.

Palate:

This Chinon is firm and easy to digest, with a fresh, tangy aftertaste that brings balance. The whole reveals a fine expression of ripe Cabernet Franc, with plenty of freshness and sparkle.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.
