Wine:

Born from a dry, sun-drenched vintage, the 2022 Red Porto Vintage emerges as a wine for long-term aging, with perfect maturity. Its magnificent colour precedes a remarkable concentration, revealing intense aromas of ripe fruit, black plum, violet, and wild berries. On the palate, it offers great depth, with spicy notes characteristic of the Vale de Mendiz terroir, complemented by fragrant flavours that harmonise beautifully with its silky, velvety texture. Simply magical. Best enjoyed with a chocolate dessert or a blue cheese.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. The grapes are crushed before macerating in lagares (traditional stone vats). Aged for 18 months in wooden tuns.

Color:

Intense red with purplish highlights.

Nose:

Intense aromas of ripe black fruit, plum, a floral note of violet and a hint of wild berries.

Palate:

A magnificent concentration from the very first sip, revealing a deep, rich, and powerful structure with a velvety, silky texture.

Temperature:

Serve between 12 and 14°C.

Pan-fried foie gras with Port wine, Fourme d'Ambert cheese, chocolate dessert.
