Wine:

An homage to Mourvèdre at 70%, balanced with Grenache and Syrah, the 2021 red Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Part des Anges introduces something new for this vintage: full vinification in new demi-muids and large foudres to create a refined wine with a nice oaky touch from the wine’s youth. The result is breathtaking—right from the start, floral notes, sugared strawberries, and hints of garrigue unfold effortlessly, showing beautiful ripeness and purity.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Traditional vinification with partial destemming, maceration for 5 weeks. Aged 80% in new barrels, demi-muids and foudres, 20% in concrete vats.

Certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter.

Color:

Intense, brilliant crimson red.

Nose:

Delicate aromas of red berries, strawberries and sugar, underlined by a lovely floral touch from the Grenache.

Palate:

Concentrated palate, delicate, velvety tannins on this full-bodied wine with subtle flavors of black tapenade and garrigue.

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Duck breast with pink berries, grilled beef with pepper, pan-fried mushrooms with thyme.
