Wine:

The 2018 Red Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot comes from 2 hectares of old vines. This superb terroir offers a highly mature juice with notes of black fruit, great concentration, and generosity. We have an overflowing fruity character, great minerality and an indispensable backbone to this great wine. The well-integrated oak suggests a good propensity for aging. Rated 94/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, totally destemmed, vatted for 23 days in open wooden vats. Malolactic fermentation carried out in full.
Aged in oak barrels for 21 months.

Color:

Dark red with good intensity.

Nose:

Very ripe, with lovely black fruit notes.

Palate:

Juicy and concentrated, this generous wine releases a mineral, well-integrated oaky juice. Superb!

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Delicate charcuterie, grilled meats, thick veal chop au jus, roast poultry, cheeses.

In 2018, 8.5 hectares of property were added to the range, managed entirely by the Maison from vine to cellar.
