Wine:

The 2019 Red Graves is a textbook example of a well-made Bordeaux, offering delicious notes of dark fruits and candied fruit, complemented by subtle, well-integrated aging. With a solid structure, it shows serious concentration and fine, abundant tannins, ensuring it can age gracefully for another 4 to 5 years. A beautifully crafted Bordeaux, ready to enjoy now. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Total de-stemming, alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel truncated-cone tanks, long vatting periods of 4 to 5 weeks. Aged in barrels for 12 to 14 months (35% in new barrels, 45% in barrels that have contained a previous wine).

Color:

Brilliant dark red with carmine highlights.

Nose:

Intense notes of dark and candied fruits, underpinned by a subtle touch of oak.

Palate:

The palate is broad and well-structured, with a refined balance of ripe fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a silky, lingering finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Grilled beef skewer, roast duck breast with rosemary and spicy jus, pheasant terrine with mushrooms.

Under the stewardship of Giorgio Cavanna, a star winemaker from Chianti’s Castello di Ama, and guided by Bertrand Léon, son of the former winemaker at Château Mouton-Rothschild, the Grand Enclos du Château de Cérons has risen to prominence as one of the standout names in its appellation. Today, it produces premium wines that beautifully capture the Bordeaux style, striking the perfect balance between power and elegance.
