Wine:

What a beauty this Grenache is! The 2021 Red Rasteau La Ponce strikes a perfect balance, with vibrant stone fruit flavors, a touch of minerality, and a hint of menthol. The palate is refined yet firm, with delicate tannins and impressive depth. This well-balanced wine is built to age gracefully and is best enjoyed slightly chilled, at around 13-14°C. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Total de-stemming and fermentation in concrete vats. Vatting period of 28 to 35 days. Aged for 15 months in old barrels for the Syrah and in concrete vats for the Grenache.

Color:

Intense carmine reds.

Nose:

A magnificent blend of Grenache and Syrah with stone fruit aromas underlined by a touch of minerality.

Palate:

A firm, structured wine with delicate tannins, offering a well-balanced profile with concentrated depth and power.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 11°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Grilled aubergines with dried herbs, confit pig from Mont Ventoux, Larzac tomme, pears poached in wine and spices.

Known for producing impeccably balanced dry wines with superb texture and a natural finesse, they also craft some of the region's finest sweet wines.
