Wine:

Made from 1.3 hectares of 80-year-old Grenache, the 2020 red Châteauneuf-du-Pape Baron de Montfaucon is the elite wine of the estate. A marvelous wine of finesse, complexity, flavor and depth, it offers a beautiful spicy palate, carried by a ripe flavors of fruit and supple tannins. Of an immediate charm, it will be unanimously appreciated. A Selection Committee Favorite that cannot be ignored, especially at this still angelic price... Enjoy it before it's too late!

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Total de-stemming then fermentation for seven days and vatting for 21 days. Aged for one year in barrels and 10 months in concrete tanks.

Color:

Intense red with purple highlights.

Nose:

Fine and delicate on beautiful aromas of black and red fruits with moderate extraction accentuated by spicy touches.

Palate:

Supple and refined, this wine offers us a complex palate with round and ripe tannins

Temperature:

Serve at 16 to 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Roasted veal chop and cherry tomatoes fried with olive oil and garlic, grilled duck breast and fried eggplant.
