A benchmark estate in Saumur, Château Yvonne has been in the skilled hands of Mathieu Vallée since 2007. A master of both Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc, he crafts wines of exceptional quality—recognized with two stars by the Guide RVF, a respected French wine publication known for its rigorous tasting standards.

With organically farmed vineyards set on ideally located sandy and tuffeau limestone soils, and long, carefully managed barrel aging, every element is in place to produce truly outstanding wines.

Exceptionally pure, the 2023 Red Saumur-Champigny L’île Quatre Sous showcases Cabernet Franc at its finest—ripe and fresh, with elegant graphite notes and dark fruit aromas. On the palate, it unfolds with superb velvety texture, striking balance, and vibrant energy, all perfectly supported by a finely tuned aging process. A near-perfect expression of Loire Valley Cabernet Franc. Rated 93/100 by our Selection Committee.

The 2023 Red Saumur-Champigny La Folie masterfully captures the vibrant aromatics of fresh Cabernet Franc, with concentrated graphite notes and perfectly tuned, refined aging. Its flavourful, energetic structure is lifted by a fleshy freshness and a silky, expansive texture. A truly outstanding bottle—and a firm favourite of our Selection Committee, rated 93/100.
